Before starting PsychWorks, Lisa worked at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) for 15 years, and left as a Principal Clinical Psychologist. She was awarded a Healthcare Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) attachment to Prince of Wales Hospital & Sydney Children’s Hospital / The Black Dog Institute in Australia for further training in anxiety and mood disorders, and workplace mental health and wellbeing. At KTPH, she provided psychological assessments and psychotherapy to patients across many age groups with a broad spectrum of emotional problems such as anxiety, depression. She was involved in the clinical training and supervision of psychologists, and promoted mental health education, particularly in positive psychology through the provision of talks, seminars and workshops to healthcare professionals, corporate organizations and the public. As KTPH’s mental health and wellbeing Lead, she chaired the multidisciplinary workgroup - LifeWorks! for 10 years caring for the general physical and mental health and wellbeing of all KTPH staff. She was also appointed to sit on various committees and workgroups in similar capacities both at the institution (Yishun Health) and cluster level (NHG).
Prior to this, Lisa was at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) for 7 years, working with adolescent and young adult patients with psychotic disorders. During this time, she was sponsored for training at the Early Onset and Intervention Centres, Lambert Hospital at the London & North Birmingham Mental Health Trust, UK.
Lisa provides clinical supervision for the multi-disciplinary Response, Early intervention and Assessment in Community mental Health (REACH) West team at the National University Hospital (NUH) and Psychology Service at KTPH. She was an honorary adjunct lecturer and clinical supervisor with the Department of Psychology, National University of Singapore, and a Non-Physician Faculty Member of the NHG Psychiatry Residency Programme.
